The Boardwalk to the Cave
I’d met up with a few friends in Port Campbell with the intention of doing some night-time photography by the Apostles. Weather conditions turned on us, and it turned out to be a less than favourable night to photograph the stars. The days were a different story. The partially cloudy conditions meant that there were few harsh shadows, and lots of moody clouds passing by.
This particular boardwalk leads from the car park to the Grotto – one of the many features along Great Ocean Road that has been formed from the constant erosion along the coast. I shot this with no ND filter, using a Sigma 20mm f/1.8 lens at f/1.8. No tripod was used – this was shot hand-held. It has been post-processed in Lightroom using one of my custom presets for landscapes.
